In 1990 I went to buy a house and was disappointed with Estate Agents, I decided to become one. My beliefs are always to have integrity, tell the truth and look after the customer; the customer will then look after the business. At Greenaway Residential Estate and Letting Agents we have a strongly defined culture which always has our customer’s interests at heart. As the 5000 year old Chinese proverb that says ‘To serve is to rule’. Although my company may not be for every customer, we try our best to achieve customer loyalty at all times. I am also the founder and chairman of The Greenaway Foundation, which is the registered charity for Greenaway Residential Estate Agents. i believe a business should where ever possible help the local community, so I set up the charity to help financially challenged families and help child poverty.
I have been an Estate Agent since 2003 and during this time I have had a variety of roles within Sales, Lettings and Property Management prior to being promoted to Branch Manager of Greenaway Residential in Crawley in 2008. I firmly believe that I am in a hugely privileged role, being able to help my clients with all of their property requirements and I especially enjoy watching people’s faces as they receive the keys to their new homes! During my 19 years in the Estate Agency industry I have seen many changes in the property market and with legislation. I remain as passionate as ever about providing the best experience possible and guiding my team in our Crawley branch to excel. I have lived in and around Crawley all my life and as such have excellent knowledge of the area. I am also a Trustee of The Greenaway Foundation and believe it is important to give back to the community that we operate in.
I have been in the estate agency business now for 18 years and I can honestly say I have done it all in my time within the business. In my career I have experienced both the sales & letting side of the business but at Greenaway Residential Estate Agents my role is mainly sales based. I love seeing people homes and getting them moving. If you are local there is a good chance I’ve sold or let you a home in the past years, although I probably didn’t have the grey hair back then! I have always enjoyed meeting new people, giving advice professional and getting people moved to their dream home, exceeding expectations as I do so and making clients for life. I was born in Crawley and been here my whole life, meaning I have excellent local knowledge as a Crawley Estate Agent, it is a town dear to my heart. In my spare time I enjoy watching football (my playing days are long over!), eating out, playing guitar and seeing friends & family to make memories.
I was raised in the Lancashire coastal town of Morecambe and left for the south of England to pursue a career in hospitality. After several happy and successful years, I decided on a change of career and applied in February 2019 to join the team at Greenaway Residential as a Property Consultant. Luckily, I am now enjoying the challenge of such a varied and rewarding position. In my spare time I coach at the Edenbridge Rugby Club, play cricket for Withyham cc and I enjoy meeting friends for a well earned pint.
After finishing university I did not really know what it was that I wanted to do. I spent time working in care and odd office jobs through out the years and now I am enjoying my time in property management and wish I had found this career path sooner! I am enjoying the varied role and no day is the same. In my spare time I like to go to the gym, read and enjoy weekends with friends and family.
During my last two years at Lingfield College I was actively looking for an apprenticeship in the property industry. To gain experience, I applied for work experience at Greenaway Residential Estate Agents in the summer of 2020 which I was successful in securing. This experience confirmed I wanted to be an Estate Agent and I knew Greenaway Residential was the company for me. Since completing education they have employed me on a full time basis and I felt part of the team from when I first walked through the door. I wanted to be an Estate Agent as I am a friendly people person and I particularly enjoy helping the public find the home of their dreams. In my free time I coach and play Rugby at Edenbridge Rugby Club. I also enjoy socialising with friends and going up to Cardiff to see family.
I joined Greenaway Residential Estate Agents in East Grinstead in February 2022 as a weekender with a view to building up my hours in the long term. My background has been in the education sector; for 17 years I worked as a secondary school teacher both in the UK and New Zealand and returned back to the UK to be on hand for my aging parents. I have had many dealings with estate agents in the past having brought and sold my home in two countries and have a natural curiosity about the process of buying, selling and letting. My love of property is multi-faceted; appreciating architecture, fascination with the building process and style seen in period properties both grand and small and also an admiration for how so many are people are very creative when modelling their homes. Moving into your home is such a special time and I am pleased to be a small part of the process to help you along the way.
Following a family move to the area I was keen to restart my professional career. Greenaway Residential’s estate agents in Crawley has family values and flexibility that has provided me with the right work/life balance and I’m really enjoying the varied role in Property management. In my spare time, when I am not a ‘mum’s taxi’ for the boys, I enjoy socialising, I’ a also a real foodie who loves fine dining.
I have split my working time through the years between my careers in travel sales and dance teaching. I have always been passionate about customer service and am a very focussed person who will always strive to meet and exceed the expectations of clients. I was very happy when the opportunity to become a Property Consultant at Greenaway Residential Estate Agents was offered to me and I am loving my role. I feel very proud to be part of the team and to be working with such a dedicated group of people with strong company and community ethics. I also love that we have our own charity as I firmly believe it is important to give back to the community wherever possible.
