Meet the Team

Darren Greenaway, Managing Director

In 1990 I went to buy a house and was disappointed with Estate Agents, I decided to become one. My beliefs are always to have integrity, tell the truth and look after the customer; the customer will then look after the business. At Greenaway Residential Estate Agents and Letting Agents we have a strongly defined culture which always has our customer’s interests at heart. As the 5000 year old Chinese proverb that says ‘To serve is to rule’. Although my company may not be for every customer, we try our best to achieve customer loyalty at all times.

I am also the founder and chairman of The Greenaway Foundation, which is the registered charity for Greenaway Residential Estate Agents. I believe a business should where ever possible help the local community, so I set up the charity to help financially challenged families and help child poverty.

Simon Brown, Branch Manager, Crawley.

I have been an Estate Agent since 2003 and during this time I have had a variety of roles within Sales, Lettings and Property Management prior to being promoted to Branch Manager of Greenaway Residential Estate Agents in Crawley in 2008.

I firmly believe that I am in a hugely privileged role, being able to help my clients with all of their property requirements and I especially enjoy watching people’s faces as they receive the keys to their new homes! During my 19 years in the Estate Agency industry I have seen many changes in the property market and with legislation. I remain as passionate as ever about providing the best experience possible and guiding my team in our Crawley branch to excel.

I have lived in and around Crawley all my life and as such have excellent knowledge of the area. I am also a Trustee of The Greenaway Foundation and believe it is important to give back to the community that we operate in.

Michael Whitehead, Branch Manager, East Grinstead.

I was raised in the Lancashire coastal town of Morecambe and left for the south of England to pursue a career in hospitality. After several happy and successful years, I decided on a change of career and applied in February 2019 to join the team at Greenaway Residential Estate Agents as a Property Consultant.  After a four years and several promotions I was given the East Grinstead office to run in late 2023.

In my spare time I coach at the Edenbridge Rugby Club, play cricket for Withyham cc and I enjoy meeting friends for a well earned pint.

Ross Brown, Assistant Manager, Crawley.

I have been in the estate agency business now for 18 years and I can honestly say I have done it all in my time within the business. In my career I have experienced both the sales & letting side of the business but at Greenaway Residential Estate Agents my role is mainly sales based.

I love seeing people homes and getting them moving. If you are local there is a good chance I’ve sold or let you a home in the past years, although I probably didn’t have the grey hair back then! I have always enjoyed meeting new people, giving advice professional and getting people moved to their dream home, exceeding expectations as I do so and making clients for life. I was born in Crawley and been here my whole life, meaning I have excellent local knowledge as a Crawley Estate Agent, it is a town dear to my heart.

In my spare time I enjoy watching football (my playing days are long over!), eating out, playing guitar and seeing friends & family to make memories.

Emma Coleman, Senior Property Consultant, Crawley.

I was born in Hoathly Hill near West Hoathly, and apart from moving a way for a few years to Stroud in Gloucestershire when I was at college, I have always lived in the local area.

My father and brother have always been in the property industry, and I also have a keen interest.  I started with Greenaway Residential Estate Agents in Crawley as a Lettings Negotiator and after some time was promoted to Senior Property Consultant working in the sales and letting departments.  I really enjoy helping people find their ideal homes and nothing pleases me more than seeing people’s faces light up when they receive their keys.

In my spare time I like to travel, socialise and read books.  I am also proud to say I am a Trustee for the company’s very own charity, The Greenaway Foundation.

Kristen Bentley, Property Co-ordinator, Crawley.

As a university graduate in the creative photography and marketing industry, property is not the first place to think where you would find me. However, having always had a passion in property, particularly architecture and interior design, and having looked into property photography & marketing during my degree, it seemed like a fitting and exciting path to go down in my professional career.

As a property coordinator, I get to do what I enjoy most which is helping people when they need it, and getting to build rapport with all of the tenants and landlords throughout the entire process is something I get a lot of gratification from. This is an amazing opportunity to join a hard-working team and I am excited to see where my career can go within the property industry, particularly within Greenaway Residential Estate Agents.

In my spare time, I also work as a social media and content manager, and as a photographer after completing my degree in Commercial Photography, and love to have the creative freedom alongside my professional career.

Carol Barnett, Property Consultant, Crawley.

I have split my working time through the years between my careers in travel sales and dance teaching. I have always been passionate about customer service and am a very focussed person who will always strive to meet and exceed the expectations of clients. I was very happy when the opportunity to become a Property Consultant at Greenaway Residential Estate Agents was offered to me and I am loving my role. I feel very proud to be part of the team and to be working with such a dedicated group of people with strong company and community ethics.

I also love that we have our own charity The Greenaway Foundation, as I firmly believe it is important to give back to the community wherever possible.

Maria Tabany, Property Consultant, Crawley.

After finishing university and obtaining a tourism with business degree, I worked in the sales and marketing industry for a few years. After becoming a mum to my two boys, I am lucky to have found a company who values my needs and allows me to work in a flexible environment which lets me to enjoy time with my family as well as starting a career in my dream role at the same time. I have always loved the thought of being a Property Consultant due to my love and passion for houses and interior design as well as being in the process of helping people find their forever home. It’s such an exciting process and I’m so happy and proud to be a involved in a small part of it as well as being part of the Greenaway Residential Estate Agents team who values the needs of the community by giving back through their own charity The Greenaway Foundation

Luca Racca, Property Consultant, East Grinstead.

My name is Luca and I’m originally from Naples in Italy.  I came to UK in 2006 to pursue a career in hospitality but since 2010 I have focused on my interests in the property market and expanding my own property portfolio.  In December 2022 I had a wonderful opportunity to work as a property consultant for  Greenaway Residential Estate Agents in East Grinstead.  In my spare time I like to workout at the gym, reading, watching sports and socialising with my friends.

Harriet Skinner, Financial Services Adviser

I am extremely passionate about my job, and working in the finance industry is something that I feel suits my Investment and Maths mind best. I  love interacting with clients, and find it incredibly rewarding helping people achieve their financial goals; whether they are purchasing their first home, expanding their property portfolio or helping protect their house and loved ones.

I have been with Greenaway Residential Estate Agents in Crawley since 2000 and I really enjoy working with the team.  I am fully CeMAP qualified in Residential and Buy to Let Mortgages, along with Life Protection; and have been working in Financial Services for several years, joining the Mortgage industry in 2017.

In my down time, I enjoy expressing my creative side, capturing family and friends; putting my Photography and Journalism degree to good use!

Aimeé Cummins , Property Consultant

I have always liked the idea of working in the property industry, however I decided to pursue a career in fashion.  After running an e-commerce business for several years and since having my two children, I have decided I would like a change in career path and am delighted to be working with Greenaway Residential Estate Agents in Crawley as a Property Consultant.

One of the things that drew me to the company is the Greenaway Foundation and all of the charitable endeavours that they undertake throughout the year. I feel honoured to be a part of a compassionate company that provide much needed assistance to the community as I feel it is important to give back.
